CDA673 (C67300) Manganese bronze CDA673 standards and properties
CDA67310 (C67310) Manganese bronze CDA67310 standards and properties
CDA673 (C67300) Manganese bronze is characterised by high hardness and good wear resistant properties along with good
machinability. CDA673 (C67300) is used for hydraulic piston shoes, cylinder liners, cams, connecting rods, valve seats, gears,
wear plates, propeller shafts, clutch bearings, pump parts and various other uses.
CDA67310 (C67310) Manganese bronze is characterised by high hardness and good wear resistant properties along with good
machinability. CDA67310 (C67310) is used for hydraulic piston shoes, cylinder liners, cams, connecting rods, valve seats, gears,
wear plates, propeller shafts, clutch bearings, pump parts and various other uses. CDA67310 is better suited to forging.
The 673** range of alloys are leaded bearing alloys with a ratio of manganese to silicon resulting in the formation of manganese
silicides that aid in extreme wear resistance far exceeding any ordinary copper alloy. The advantages of these silicides is that
the material can be used in bush or gear applications where cool running properties and low wear factors are required. The static
co-efficient of friction is extremely low and these silicides aid in providing even spreading of lubrication over the bearing surface.
The hardness of these silicides is approximately 70Rc, far superior to any hardened tool steel. The CDA67310 alloy is modified for
forging purposes.
